It was a struggle to hear the interviewer, but I think I got it. I hadn't heard or read the anecdote about him meeting Muddy Waters while Muddy was painting the ceiling. Keith acknowledges that must have been a weird feeling given that their music wasn't popular while the Stones, et al. were having hits. Peter Wolf of the J. Geils Band has told his story about how John Lee Hooker could barely get anyone at his shows in Chicago. So J. Geils Band went there to help out and have him open. It's ironic. Love Keith.
