there always gonna be people not neccesarily happy from the path their fav band goes. But, get over it... Always the same... When band tries something new and experiments people saying they've moved too far from their roots. When it records in same pattern, they say band is not developing and is like stucked. Check out Paradise Lost - this band made unbelievable choices. Back to Keep of Kalessin, theyre doing great.

Have you been to some of these threads. There are people who just cling to those old records. Old black/death metal metal records are dissonant, the lead singer is incoherent, and sound like they were produced in the 1930s. I does help the atmosphere of their records, however, they sound like butt at the same time. Its like comparing today's video games to the ones from the 70's and 80's. We all like classics, but don't you agree it's better to move along.

It is not a matter of old album because agnen is better than through times of war, armada is an upgrade of agnen etc etc ... Kolossus was released in 2008. Two years before reptile. not long before huh, and it was still more interesting as an album in my opinion.

They took stuff. Not like alchest or stuff like this, where it is usually changed or were added sounds and special features. This album is the same as the old, with the same riffs and the same patterns, but with less musical innovations, stylistic innovations, originality, etc. etc..

First, for every person who says that the old is better there are at least 4 or 5 people who write what you wrote. You're probably not a musician, the decline of a band does not depend on a single album. Fans who follow you will continue to follow the old stuff or they will find new ones if others will like your new stuff. these are personal opinions, but to make comparisons, however, you have to rely on older releases, certainly not on the things that are not yet out.

I'm so sick of seeing this comment. "(band)'s music isn't as good/ loud/ heavy as it was on the older records." Go to any long standing black/death metal band's site/youtube page; you'll find at least one tard making this comment. Do they expect that band to write the same shit over and over again? People would eventually stop buying the bands records and they would disappear from planet earth if the did that.

Of course the energy of every band is going strongest on their first couple records; that when they're trying to sign a record label deal and build their fanbase. After that the goal is simply to keep it interesting. Cradle of Filth, Immortal, and At The Gates were trying to introduce a new, more controversial style of too. But that scene died 10 years, so their options now are simply blaze their own trail or quit.
