The album where the other Temptations, except Dennis, may not have been involved so much was the "Wings of Love" album, produced by Jeffrey Bowen.. This album had multiple producers, with this song being produced by Brian Holland... Brian and Lamont Dozier almost always used the singers in the groups to sing their own backgrounds, even if it was hard to get them to sing the parts like they wanted... Sometimes HDH would add singers, but the primary group singers would be in the mix.

I'm pretty sure it's the Temptations since I hear Melvin's voice in the chorus.

The other singers definitely sound like The Temptations, NOT session background singers. The Temptations were unique in that they were very involved in the voicing and part assignments of their background vocals. Even Smokey himself has said how the parts they came up with on songs he had written were different than what he would have devised for a Miracles record.

I read somewhere (Otis' book?) that Dennis was the only Tempt in this recording session -- as in the background singers are just that, background singers, not Glenn, Otis, Melvin, Richard.
