I happened to have the good fortune to see Uriah Heep at Memorial Auditorium in Charlotte, North Carolina in the mid-70's. It wouldn't have mattered if God had been on stage, I could not stop watching Gary. As a young bass player just beginning to learn the instrument, this was like going to school for me. The inventiveness of his playing: choice of notes, tone, etc, just overwhelmed me. Not to mention the fact that he just seemed to be having a great time of it. To this day, he remains one of my strongest influences. May he rest in peace:)

I can't find "All" the lyrics anywhere. I can her most all the lyrics but the first lead lyrics and the lyrcs after the 2nd chorus either. That's the only two lines I cannot decipher. Anyone have a clue or know them?

I love Gary's bass playing. He was just amazing. God I'm gettin' old. This song just sticks in my head everyday.

Saw him plasying with the KH band and recall he was super slim and had massive long hair, stood quietly at the back of stage. Played a real nice mean walking jazz bass line to many of the songs.Very under rated outfit that should have gone further than they did.
