I used to like Winnie the Pooh when I was a kid, so no offence for those of you who like him or the movie but... I think it's a shame that this song his known as "the movie trailer for Winnie The Pooh" and not just "Somewhere only we know" by Keane. I mean It's reductive. A song should be appreciated in its own right, for what it's about. Not because it served as a soundtrack for a movie or a commercial. This song has to do with nostalgia and the familiar places that make us feel better, places where we truly feel ourselves again. It has more to do with growing up and getting older than with Winnie The Pooh. "Oh simple thing, where have you gone ? I'm getting old and I need something to rely on. " How can a sentence like that be FULLY understood by a kid... ? It just can't. And I really think they should have made up a specific song for Winnie The Pooh and not use someone elses song.
