Easily my favourite song from Keane. I first heard the song 'Bedshaped' during Live Earth 07/07/07 and I believed the performance from Keane completely stole the show/event. Now take in to account I didn't even know of the band Keane nor their song 'Bedshaped'. I love music and it helped me rehabilitate in hospital in 1990 at the age of 26 after I suffered my horrific motorcycle accident that initially resulted in my left leg being amputated at the knee upon slamming in to a farmer's concrete fence post along the side of the open road at high speed impact (over here in New Zealand). After septicaemia (blood poisoning) set in my entire left leg had to be amputated at the hip joint and the left side of my pelvis was amputated as well. The operation was performed on the 6th evening in hospital. During the operation I had my near-death experience. Surgeons were unable to obtain a fresh blood supply in my body and as a result I ran the hospital's blood bank dry of my blood type. Septicaemia had spread in to my rib cage. However via a miracle a fresh blood supply occurred and I survived the massive operation. I had other internal injuries as well. So back to Keane's performance of 'Bedshaped' at Live Earth. it simply blew my mind. I know a great performance when I hear it and Keane completely nailed it. One not only hears music, it can also be FELT. And wow did I feel that performance of 'Bedshaped' at Live Earth. This version however is almost equally as good as their performance that stole Live Earth on 07/07/07. Only just sayin...
