Thanks K-K - as far as I can remember k.d did have a relationship with a teacher when she was pretty young. she has mentioned it in an interview which caused quite a stir. She has talked about Ingenue being inspired by falling in love with a married woman but it was an unrequited love and she has never said who it was . This was the early 1990's .

There has been alot of speculation over the identity of the mystery woman but as far as I know k.d has never mentioned her name. Kind of curious myself - maybe someone out there knows ? I do remember her saying something on the lines of that she was a' real Californian woman '.

I read in one of the books that she was head over heels over this woman. Anyone have any idea who it was? I believe it was during the time of her song writing for Ingenue. ;o) Just curious.

@vigilceo kd is so amazing in her live performances. What an incredible soul and talent. I didn't have the money to see her when she came through Seattle, but I would have loved to. Sometimes her music gets me through the day!
