Words cannot express how I feel about this song. This is so much more than a song.

Also, is it just me, or did Bodie mess up at 6:38 and jump a few measures ahead? It looked like Toby was shaking his head at him.

One of my favorite Toby Driver works of all time is Polyimage of Known Exits. He really makes use of his voice as an instrument in that one, and yet I have almost no idea what any of the lyrics are to that piece. Still, the way he moans, wails, and whispers throughout the tracks conveys just as much emotion as any words could.

Actually, what I love about Kayo Dot is that Toby Driver is one of the first vocalists I've heard where he literately seems to use his voice like an instrument. I know that idea has been tossed around for generations with vocalists though. I've just noticed that the lyrics of most of the songs exist to be phonetically beautiful (wayfarer for example) so that he can hum, coo, mumble a melody to it. My point... the vocal melody seems to be more important to the piece than the message.

@MiseEnZheng I would agree with you, but I think MotW's "Laboratories of the Invisible World"'s outro is better :x

Hearing this makes me wish all KD songs were instrumentals. Not that I don't like the spoken word section in this part of the song, or any other Kayo Dot vocals, or what they contribute to the songs, but it's nice to just hear the instruments playing. You catch things that you would ordinarily miss in the studio recordings.

My favorite song of all time. I mean, seriously, I think everything changed when I first listened to it.

First statement: This is one of my favourite pieces of music ever. Second Statement: This is just crushingly awesome. Third Statement: Can't believe they managed to pull this track off with just five members. Swapping instruments and having to fiddle with settings between movements just shows what a monolithic track this is. fourth statement: G. Massi is joing them in February to play the entirity of Choirs of the Eye in New York. Hope someone can document it like this has been. Thankyou!!!
