Wow. Thanks for posting. I bought the album for this track and my girlfriend thought I was making a boastful RBB statement to my room mates (guys I was overseas with during Viet Nams evacuaion.) in 1975. Camp Pendleton.

So great to find that this is out there for people to experience. I found Kayak on FM radio in So. California when "Chance of a Lifetime" was getting some airplay, and bought the album (RBB) and loved it. I bought the American version of Starlight Dancer and then found the 2 European albums it was edited from and bought those. After that when the brought in new vocalists, I lost interest, but I love the others to this day.

Kayak...what can I say? Wonderful music, played by some of the finest musicians 20th Century Europe ever spawned. Those clear-but-edgy vocals of Max Werner...sigh...I love most of what I've heard of their 21st-Century material, but I do miss Magnificent Max. :-} I've said this before, but what a technological marvel YouTube is--making it possible to hear songs like this again, at the click of a key...and as a bonus, sharing the fun and joy with other fans from around the globe!

@steveavison Tell me you're joking. I mean to each his own and all that, but really? This song is intricate and yes, very very busy, but it is not "excessive". There's not an ounce of fat on it... just arching spans of heartbreaking melody, linking clusters of exuberant polyrhythms that run back and forth across each other like J.S. Bach on ecstasy. The raw energy of punk is fine, and I enjoy it in its own context, but you can't tell me there is no energy here. This is quintessential prog!
