As a Russian, I see nothing offensive in this video. It opens with Russia being poor, the alcohol showing that many Russians were trying to hold onto the grandeur of Peter the Great and Alexander I, but the recent humiliations against the Japanese and Germany lead the other powers, represented as a rival street music group, to laugh at him.Russia begins having dreams of change, dreams of playing a different kind of music. Mother Russia grants him this opportunity, and Russia successfully rebranded himself. His new-found success corrupts him, however, and the larger he gets, the more violent. In the last minutes, Mother Russia intervenes, calming Russia down and bringing him 'back to Earth'. Although Russia now smiles, his psyche is permanently altered. The ghost of communism still lingers in the form of a dragon (perceived as an evil creature in Russian mythology), both INSIDE of Russia and in China, Russia's greatest ally in the 21st century.

So much to analyze in this, some people seem to have come to the conclusion that this would be against russians, I really don't agree with that.To me it seems more like it's about how the Soviet regime started out in cheers from the people but eventually they had pushed it too far and was no longer the regime of the poeple, but of the wealthy and landed. This would be when the dancers get depressive and colorless right after the trumpeter started playing on top of Isis (Egyptian god recognised as a "supreme mother").Thereafter the trumpeter is playing in a sea of drowning dancers, while a woman is trying to stop him. This could very well be the later stages of the soviet union. In the background, a chinese dragon can be seen, the very same dragon is seen by the end accompanied by a disturbing tone. To my eyes it would be symbolizing the continuation of all this but in China, where we do indeed see a very similar behaviour and mindset in the government as we saw in the Soviet union.It is only 25 years since the wall fell. Mankind has been fighting its wars with its kings, queens and ministers for thousands of years.Do people really think that the behavioural pattern of a thousands of years will change in a quarter of a lifetime?

Hmmm. Well if you listen to the lyrics and read them, it sounds more like a satire of Stalin's regime. It mentions Berlin and he was quoted from old transcripts that Berlin was the Stage for the new era. Education goes a long way. Just saying. :)The trumpeter probably is a symbolism for the random resurgences of it that have sprung about. Notice the mother carrying her baby back to reality, but refuses to accept it for what it is, so he starts creating his own reality.Just saying; look beyond what you see.
