Funny, people call this auto tune just because Katy sounds perfect! I could definitely say that that there is NO auto tune and voice editing involved with her microphone (and the audio) in/of this performance or any of her other performances! There is not even reverb used in this performance to begin with. If people knew anything about auto tune they would know that Katy never uses auto tune or any other singing/voice/vocals correction tools in any of her live performances and the only time that Katy has used reverb (which btw is completely different from auto tune) live was in her 2013 Virgin Mobile Mod Club performances, 2013 Alan Carr Chatty Man performance of Unconditionally, and 2013 Ellen performance of Unconditionally!

This was so appropriate to have Katy sing this song for the Independence Day celebration! She is very talented. Love the flag dress and the timed pyrotechnics. So many of these "live" performances are recorded music and it is nice to see someone really go live. I go back to this video whenever I need a patriotic pick me up.
