The Olds 442 with the 455 block was one of the fastest production cars ever built. Great on the straight away.... terrible on corners. Fords with the 429 put up a good fight as did the mopar 440 six pack and of course the Corvette 454 Rat. Those were great times... Chevy Nova 396; Pontiac Judge; Hemi Cuda's, Road Runners, Mustang, Camaro, Firebirds.. the good old days... when you got pulled over and the first question would be, "What have you got in that thing?"

The car on the turntable in the video is a '59 olds, and this was before the 455's came about. Also, the body they did the song in was a Buick. Nice song. Have always liked it as well as Kathy. Fantastic artist.

I bought an Olds rocket back in the sixties. The salesman told me it had a 350 in it. One day a Chevelle SS454 kept riding my bumper until I said what the heck, and I floored the gas pedal. Well, he tried to catch me but I smoked him. I checked under the hood and found I had a 455 rocket! Man that was a fun day. Now I own a 69 Chevelle SS, but i'll always remember that Rocket!
