When I was a child I remember my favourite babysitter (a close friend of my mother's) singing this song to me. I used to pester her to sing it to me over and over again. I absolutely loved this song, sang it to my three children and am now singing it to my grandsons. My youngest grandson pesters me to sing the lullaby to him in the same way I did as a child.
