It IS funny, there's no denying that, but you're right about her not taking the piss out of Eminem's music. It's just a cover of a song that's usually perceived to be at the opposite end of the genre spectrum to Kate's vocal style. There's obvious humour there, but it's not taking the piss.

Ya know... I really don't think humor is really the key point here. This is what covers are. I can't figure out how this is humorous at all really. It's a good cover, but if she is really trying to mock the song, she failed miserably. Unless you are some ignorant hillbilly who hates rap SO much that you think singing a rap song without attitude takes any meaning or performance away from the poetry, there really isn't any humor here. Check out bluegrass covers of rock and rap songs, good covers.

@Lattant they're actually really famous. Kate isn't has famous in America has she is in Austrialia, but she still is pretty popular. Her song "Are you Ready" is really popular where I live (New York) because of the Lottery Commercial (The New York lottery's whole campaign is behind that song) and her other song Are You Fucking Kidding Me is really popular too.
