Always had mixed feelings about the total output of Kate Bush. On the one hand, a variety of top notch songs, like this one here, on the other hand albums that contain often very strange, bizar songs, which really demand lots of effort to listen to till the end, unless you"re really the very very artistic type open to whatever odd experiment. The vocals are amazingly good, stretching 3 octaves, her playful mimics game very nice (half silent movie queen, half street clown with whitened face), while her dancing in some videoclips really is somewhat silly. Here, none of this: everything is how it should be, not a screw has to be fixed, no bolt to be rearranged, no anti corrosion paint added. Very very close to perfection, which normally only gods and godesses achieve. A real life Lorelei, an elf escaped from a misty magical wood...9 years ago
