Kate performs "The Saxophone Song" in Stockholm, Sweden during "The Tour of Life" in 1979.

Lyrics:

You'll find me in a Berlin bar,

In a corner brooding.

You know that I go very quiet

When I'm listening to you.

There's something special indeed,

There's something special indeed,

In all the places where I've seen you shine, boy.

There's something very real in how I feel, honey.

It's in me.

It's in me,

And you know it's for real.

Tuning in on your saxophone.

Doo-bee-doo-bee-doo...

The candle burning over your shoulder is throwing

Shadows on your saxophone, a surly lady in tremor.

The stars that climb from her bowels,

Those stars make towers on vowels.

You'll never see that you had all of me.

You'll never see the poetry you've stirred in me.

Of all the stars I've seen that shine so brightly,

I've never known or felt in myself so rightly,

It's in me.

It's in me,

And you know it's for real.

Tuning in on your saxophone.

Doo-bee-doo-bee-doo...

This leads to even more questions : was the whole Hammersmith Odeon show filmed? And if yes - will they ever going to release it on dvd/blu ray?And another question: are there any more shows filmed from that tour?I would love to see a full gig in a proper quality from that tour...

@Symphonyofflowers - Thank you, again! I don't think Kate will ever tour again. I remember in the mid-eighties whenever she re-surfaced she'd say: "Definitely a tour next album..." Those relatively few people who did get to see her live in the 1970s were so, so lucky.

@aerialkate Yes, they probably filmed the whole concert but they only included five songs in the final broadcast. The rest is probably in the archives of the TV company. I don't know if it will ever be released. She actually performed "Room For The Life" too, between "The Saxophone Song" and "Them Heavy People". That's why you see her rolling away that big "wheel" in the beginning of "Them Heavy People". You can find the performance of "Room For The Life" on my channel if you want to.

Thanks so much 'SOF' - can you tell me, was the whole of the concert in Sweden filmed and if so, can you post it all? I'm an English fan (born in 1971) and I only got to see the 'Live at the Hammersmith Odeon' show on VHS. I've always wondered which song she went into after 'Moving' in the live show, because the VHS tape is edited to go straight into 'Them Heavy People'. Now I know! Also, on the old VHS version of the live show - no 'Man with the Child in his Eyes'! Criminal...
