OK, so it's a lip-synch...

But talk about presence.....

Doesn't Lindsey or F.M. have a song similar to this? I just can't think of what it is? It's driving me crazy. "Big Love"???

Well, when I posted this I would have said that it is a shame that this is the closest we came to a live theatrical performance of RUTH.But now I can say that this is nothing compared to seeing Kate sing this with a live band. She just lives her music and it is a marvel in our eyes (and ears)

So what if it's synched? It's her voice & she wrote the song (plus she synched it perfectly!)

I remember watching this live. It felt pretty epic at the time.

Do you all know that Madonna kept her off the number one spot with the ghastly 'cherish' Defies belief.

i hate how they made her lip synch all the time during the 80s. she has such a wonderful live voice. 80s sucked for that

Just an incredible song by an incredible artist. Medieval electro pop? Who else could do that. :-)

I believe from watching it again that she is really singing the song in the video, it's just that the recording used is the 'studio' version dubbed onto the live video performance. Kate is amazing talent, brilliant arranger and performer. The pulpit metaphor is stretching it a bit. Shooting the arrow at God is brilliant metaphor for our line of communication with 'God'? Although the whole premise of the song is that God is someone and somewhere outside of us, and not us. Definitely Old Testament belief. But what the heck, it's all about fantasy and glamour isn't it?

Definitely imitating Margaret Thatcher - all the mannerisms.
