Kate - BBC4 "Front Row", November 4, 2005: "This song is really about the passing of time... I like the idea of coming from this big expansive, outside world of sea and cities into, again, this very small space where, er, it's talking about a memory of my mother and this little brown jug. I always remember hearing years ago this thing about a sort of Zen approach to life, where, you would hold something in your hand, knowing that, at some point, it would break, it would no longer be there"

Dearest brother Ares, Jove here. I'm proud to share your homage to the soul of the Sea our mother. Fan Videos are as underrated as a forgotten sweetheart. The Grand Ancestress, The woman. The child only wants to be loved. May your love shine on all who are fortunate to know you. Thank you brother.

One of the most beautiful songs Kate ever released, surely? At first hearing, it struck me that some of the lyrics could relate to the horrific 9/11 attacks: "and the planes came crashing down..", "see it fall, see it fall..." See if your own tears down fall when TRULY listening to this. THANK YOU for yet again sharing your unique talents in relation to Kate Bush with us MrMarrs...

I found the part in your video where the guy is sinking and gets carried off by the fish very moving. Gordons body was never recovered. He left a widow and two very young children. Its nice to imagine him being carried off to a city below the sea on the fins of fish much in the same way people imaging being carried off to heaven on the wings of angels.
