This song from the movie was so beautiful it kinda made me sad for him in the way that he thought he found a perfect partner & love but it was fleeting and unsecured with Samantha.

Having sexual congress with a computer should be seen as Nepiophillia rape. How many 18+ year old computers are still in use today? I can imagine that that is an easy question to answer. So in the context and time frame of this film, I would assume that Samantha's age is recorded in months not years. Therefore, he has committed a crime, upon an infant, that is seen by the law in many states and countries as a Class D felony. That which includes child enticement, and solicitation of a child. Penalties for this type of felony include a fine up to $100,000, imprisonment up to 25 years, or both. How did this film pass the review boards?

I understand that there are various interpretations of this intricately bittersweet film, & I too perceived the plot in my own way, which to me was in resembling contrast to a form of modern-day relationships: long-distance ones, in particular. Having been in one myself, I saw that there is a substantial amount of happenings that occur which can be compared to and identified when an individual is in a distanced relationship. With how much Theodore & Samantha longed to be near each other, to feel each other, to be intimate without any form of separation--it triggered a familiar feeling, as I found myself relating heavily to this. Then, as the movie progressed, things begin to go downhill. When Theodore goes through some bouts of depression, and how their conversations suddenly hindered in quality, how their relationship in general was taking a turn for the worst, & him finding out of all the people she was speaking to with & eventually, it ending with her leaving him; painfully, it was but another thing that I understood of, & it did not fail to make me shed tears & cherish this work of art. Truly one of a kind.

you guys dont even know the real point of this movie.... she (her) was trying to get him (him) to hook up with a real human the whole time.... and thats it. the whole movie... watch it again... all it is, is a computer trying to get real humans to hook up with real humans.
