I've read a bunch of comments saying how this song is terrible but I think it's ok. Remember, when she made this album, she wanted to do something totally OPPOSITE of a Carpenters album. So the song's chorus uses her upper range (head) voice. Very different than what Richard would have arranged for her.

Damn. This is a perfect example of the 3rd rate material Carpenter was given to sing. This tune is dreadful. It sounds like a producer using his buddies' tunes regardless of how crappy they are. She deserves much much better.
