Love this album.. ridiculous verbiage and all. There was a time when I played it for people and tried to defend that aspect... until I came to the conclusion that that's a selling point, and if you get it, you get it. It's part and parcel, and if you want it to be tidy, you miss the gift of the private epiphany.

It's only 'poor singing' if you judge it against anything Classical, Pop, or Rock or whatever has years of structure and development behind it. This is simply just a different style, more monotone, more spoken in some ways etc.... bottom line, it fits the music perfectly and that's all that matters. Listen to Karate albums with an open mind and I guarantee you'll find beauty and purity like no other in these guys :)
