Maybe it's just me, but this song feels more about empowerment to those suffering spousal abuse (and how it is a good thing to fight back) than laughing about that woman getting abused. I find it refreshing that in this song he implies that it is good for a woman (or anybody) to fight back when she's being abused. Too often our culture demonizes women for being abused, then demonizes them for not being "lady-like" in their attempts to fight back and protect themselves.
