Music Is Life

la mia infanzia l'ho passata ad ascoltare le loro spettacolari composizioni musicali... e sognavo..... sogni di musica!

A rare moment where Rich Williams moves from his fixed stage position. He really should make more of a presence for himself visually, have fun with Rags and Billy. (Or in this case Robby and Billy)

I have always said the Phil is an underrated drummer. I don't think Steve's voice is underrated, but as a front man he is. He is always fun to watch on stage.

I saw Kansas in Lewiston on the 19th of June. They opened with a Medley of this and Magnum Opus. Pure beauty.

Greatest band ever, hands down. It's a shame that as far as non-fans are concerned, they only ever did Carry On Wayward Son, Dust in the Wind, and Point of Know Return. This is my favorite recording of Belexes. I especially love the intro and the way they incorporated The Lightning's Hand. These guys can still rock out after being around for thirty-some-odd years.

I thought Walshes voice was pretty good in this video. I've heard it far worse in recent years.

The 70's birthed so many great art rock bands - Kansas was one of the few non-British acts as well as Rush (canadian). I always thought the Hammond organ always did well in the heavier genres of rock - That thing Walsh has sound great even though it obviously is not a 500 Lb. organ - What is it anyway? His voice is gone - that's for sure. Listen to like Masque - He had the most cutting voice in rock and roll back in the day. Clean, piercing, pure, and just right on, man.

No bigger Rush fan than me. :) And Kansas is 2nd on my list of favs: they aren't comparable bands.

Robbie & Rich look like they've dropped a few lbs. Good for them. Steve had one of the best R&R voices ever; if he sounds like he's pinching now, it might be because he was so pure then.

lol...yeah...it's gone alright... but Rush and Kansas don't have much to do with eachother. Kerry was a huge Gentle Giant fan. Lots of lifted ideas...(though I still prefer Kansas by a million)

Biggest CLG Fan

If Geddy threw his voice out.

Biggest CLG Fan

As an avid Rush and Kansas fan, I always thought this is what Rush would sound like if they had more then 3 people in their band.

I agree ! Phil & Steve are very underated. Phil is my all time favorite drummer.

This is NOT that bad of a version, in fact it is very, very good. The only thing lacking is Steve's voice, which obviously is strained, but all in all, everything else is top notch. Plus, there are four original members here in Steve, Robbie, Phil and Rich. What the hell is Kansas II, this is fine.
