Classic Kansas is NOT a "Christian" band. Kerry Livgren brought them down that road late in their career. Interpret their later lyrics as you will...even Kerry Livgren wrote them to be secular...

Love the John Elefante's era. With him, they released two of the finest MOR/AOR albums of the 80s,

I never realized Kansas is a Christian band until I read the lyrics. Amazing discovery for me!

This is a great song! I've always loved it. It's a little "soft" by my usual standards, but still....really good track from KANSAS... sj~13 #FIGHT FIRE WITH FIRE

+67marlins Actually, CBS's original "Best Of Kansas" contained those uncredited remixes of "The Wall" and "Carry On Wayward Son" - the latter with gated drums, hardly no bass guitar, and reverb on the vocals. Thankfully, it got re-mastered in 1999 with direct input from Kansas. Those remixes were replaced with their original versions, "Perfect Lover" was deleted, and then they added "The Pinnacle", "The Devil Game", and a live version of "Closet Chronicles" to boot ...
