For those who asked for more after my previous offering from this show. As with "Crossfire" I cleaned up the image and replaced the sound with a pre-FM source. Kansas' Elefante years are largely ignored by many but this live performance of the band's first hit single proves the world's top-grossing concert act of 1981 sounds tight as ever on stage. With album sales reaching over 40 million I'd say it's time Kansas gets inducted into the R&RHoF asap.

The band:

Kerry Livgren

John Elefante

Robby Steinhardt

Phil Ehart

Rich Williams

Dave Hope

Guest musician on this tour:

Warren Ham

Never?Have you heard what Steve Walsh sounds like now?Check out a recent John Elefante recording(check out his version of Dust In The Wind from 2009) and tell me who has the better voice.Walsh may have had the better voice once, but not anymore.

I'm sorry what? Jonh Elefante will NEVER sound like Steve Walsh in any way okay? Steve Walsh is a GOD compared to Jonh Elefante. I'm not saying Jonh is bad, I am saying that he cannot be compared to Steve in ANY way!

This is great. The band is super tight and Elefante really does a great job! He even sounds like Steve in the high stuff near the end. Thanks for posting this.

@MichaelfromFell Ha! It sure sounds like that. After all he's of German descent ;-)

Great work! Thanks for sharing. So strange to see them so young after having seen them at a small venue concert just a couple of years ago.

Wow, what an incredible performance! I love John's voice and he really kicks ass on this song! Did I mishear or does Robby say "dankeschön" at 6:00?
