As for the comment about trying to be more authentic, the Japanese are about performance, a spectacle, not some person showing up in casual clothes and putting on a show, whether it be big, or small. I think she's great live, people have nerves you know, they are not flawless documents of their albums. I'm sure traveling to America for the first time and performing on a strange venue like this, completely different from the typical Japanese show is a bit of a scary process.

She's not actually bad live, considering it was one of her first concerts and her first time in the U.S. She sings way better than Katy Perry and many other artists live, and her cello playing is moving in itself. I would rather listen to her sing than most brain dead talentless singers we have in the U.S.
