And damn, I miss the hell out of it. We would join guilds - although many were free form or guildless. We had a dice system based on our species, and there was a dice program built into AOL's chat system that allowed us to roll in the room. Other locations were Red Dragon Inn, The Forest, Suicide Cliffs, and then others were set aside for fantasy settings found in Dungeons and Dragons/Dragonlance. Many people would play as literary characters. It was a blast, and this song sounds like a tribute.10 years ago

Rexxar - Rhydin, or Rhy'Din, was a fantasy world. Back when AOL was at the height, there were a collection of chats - Rhydin Singles Bar, Vampire Tavern, Vampire Lake, so on - that were situated in this imaginary land where we would do role playing games entirely in text, aside from our character pictures and a few landscape shots/maps. Rhydin was considered the main world that most of the locations/chats were in, but there were others - Anne Rice based, Final Fantasy based, and so on.11 years ago
