I saw the new vocalist live a few weeks ago in florida. my god, he was awful! he butchers all of kahn's songs when he tries them ( can never hit the high notes ). the new stuff is generic girly rock desperately trying to hold onto the "kamelot" sound. It was pathetic

@Windaros It was a fine way to mix this particular album, which is far less vocally-centered than their later stuff. The guitars probably would benefit from a bit more treble, but that's all I would change. If Khan dominated the mix here, it would be detrimental to the experience.

@theotherdoomguy Well, they did turn him louder in the later albums (which were much better produced), so I don't really see the problem about doing it. No matter who is singing (unless they're really bad), the vocals should stand more out from the rest than this. He gets drowned kinda.

@griggins Well, it's not really understandable why they didn't turn Roy Khan louder, cause that would have made everything so much better. And a little more power in the guitars, and maybe dubbed guitars would also made the song more complete.

hehe, not often khan sings like this :P or they play like this! They were more fantasy or still is but it's but is a more feeling of medieval times and such :D nowadays it's more. Well can't really describe it but it doesn't surely sound like this :D They're really an unique band !!! But i prefer their albums from fourth legacy - ghost opera =) cheers
