I don't listen to a lot of country, but this is a song that caught my attention. In this generation, there is only pop artists. These odd "Nickey Manaj's", or "Luke Bryant". There is "Fall out Boy" and "Justin Bieber". I don't get it. Sure, I'm from this gen, but I grew up on traditional Country, Rockabilly, Rock and Roll, Blues and the occasional pop or rap. It wasn't until I got to age 7-8 I heard my first real "pop" song, and disliked it. I really hesitate on pop songs, but am willing to try older songs. When I first heard this song, I thought "Huh! Some real country, huh? Well, bout' time I tried it. Seems really good here." I listened to this, and really like this song. Now you hear "Luke Bryant", "Niki Manaj", "Fall Out Boy", but what happened to "AC/DC", "Motley Crue", "The Beasty Boys?" I remember Carry Underwood, and some of my grandparents music. I remember Josh Turner, Toby Keith, but once I heard "Biscuits", I loved it. The title reminded me of my grandad how he always spelled biscuit, "Biskit", and the song was a trip down memory lane! All those lessons, and now to here. I really love this song for the fact, I haven't heard anything like it since '07. Now, 8 years later, this masterpiece comes out! Great job Kacey Musgraves!
