New Weezer is new Weezer, and The Rentals are The Rentals. Both are good... but neither are as good as Weezer was with Matt Sharp. Oh, and if you listen to the music you can tell it's got Matt written all over it, and the lyrics are very much in Rivers' style. No way is it solely either of theirs. Man it sucks that they couldn't get more than two albums out before parting ways.

@glassfrehley This song is most definitely Rivers's. I can listen to this song as many times as I want and you can argue it all you want, but this song was written solely by Rivers for the abandoned Songs From The Black Hole rock opera (that was only written by Rivers.) Hell, on the Weezer DVD "Video Capture Device," there is a snippet of Weezer playing a full band rendition of the song with Rivers singing during the Pinkerton sessions. Face it, Rivers wrote this song by himself.
