It is always a child's wish that their parents would celebrate their birthdays. I was lucky my father took me on a daddy/daughter date on my 16th birthday. I just wished he saw me more than christmas and my birthday. Now I just wish I had more time to get to know my dad, I lost him at 19 and I felt the world was at an end. Now I am going on 22 and I wish he was here to hold me through my broken heart and to encourage me to stay strong. The only comfort I have is I have not made any terrible mistakes that I regret and that he would be disappointed in me, and I am making something of myself through schooling. This year is just another birthday, another year closer to my dreams, and another year I lived through without my wise father.

This song it reminds me so much of my 16th birthday. My dad worked every day and my birthday was on a Sunday. My dad left for work that morning and when he left I broke down. I got a surprise that day because my boyfriend at the time came and saw me. I still wanted my dad to be there I missed him because I rarely saw him at that point. After church that day though My adopted family at church threw me a surprise party. Fast forward a few months into June of 2014 and my dad had a heart attack. I almost lost my dad to the same way he lost his dad. I fight with my dad constantly but I love him. I couldn't live without him. He's lost but I'm trying to be that light that my family needs. I just found out a couple days ago I might be pregnant it's from me trying to find the love i though i deserved and now I have to face my parents and tell them i made a decision i regret and now i am paying for the consequences but now i am back in church and rededicated my life back to God.

Isn't your birthday the one day of the year when everyone celebrates you? I always get sad when I hear that someone was alone, or had a terrible birthday(like When i watched the first movie to Harry Potter.) But then, I know that the older you get, the less you care about birthdays. I hate that. It's your special day, why not take a break from work, and sit back? At the very least relax, If you don't want anything? So what, you turn a year older. It's a day for YOU. I also think that it's the worst thing when you have a birthday, and none of the people you love are there, or if you have no one you really love, or if everyone you love isn't close enough to travel to. (Angry rambling, Pardon me.)
