"The shooting process was like nothing I have ever expeienced. It was

shot dead set in front of our house in Laguna Beach on a cold winter

night. I'm so used to surfing into a day, a sunrise is uplifting, but

surfing into the dark is haunting. Car batteries powered the camera

rigs perched on bar stools in the shore break with minimal

visability. I think both Aran and I were equally in the dark on this

one. The last shot I almost took the crew out, Aran was knee deep in

the shore break trying to get as close as possible. I was worried the

equipment was on the verge of getting drenched."
