at the time it wasn't considered a reality show and was the only show on at the time. there wasn't a plethora of reality shows on television so most things on tv were actually still candid, nowadays everyone hams it up for the camera. I never watched the real world much back then, I only watched mainly at 3pm when all the videos were on
