Some of you are MAD hating on that drummer, but I actually like his energy quite a bit. By the tone of the guitars this already isn't a Strokes version of Automatic Stop, but they (and obviously Jules himself) did a damn fine job

+Adrian Amate Sanchez To be clear, Julian wrote every song on 'Is This It' (music & lyrics). He also wrote all of the songs on Room On Fire with the exception of 'Automatic Stop' whom he co-wrote with Albert Hammond Jr.With 'First Impressions Of Earth', Nick, Nikolai and Fab each co-wrote one song with him but he wrote all of the other 11. It wasn't until 'Angles' that all songs were credited as 'Written by The Strokes'. What I'm obviously getting at is yes, they're a band but Julian has written most of their music by himself.
