Paul Hart's work on this is exquisite. Judie's voice is always stunning. This was a song writing apogee.

wasn't this on the B side of the single "Stay With Me Till Dawn"? - I'm sure that this track was familiar to me, beforehand, and I only ever bought that single of her collection.............

It's up there with Nick Drake. She's the most underrated singer/songwriters.

A phenomenal, beautiful, and unique song (maybe Joni Mitchell's "Shadows and Light" comes close). I just bought Welcome to the Cruise for this one song; "Stay With Me Till Dawn" is her big hit and "Bring the Rain" also features her voice accompanied by strings. Judy Tzuke, Kate Bush, and Joan Armatrading were all exceptional British singer-songwriters (Joan Armatrading's "Love and Affection" is a stunner).
