I think every album before and including Defenders of the Faith kicks ass! Screaming for Vengeance and above just wasn't that good although they had some great songs. Painkiller comes to mind as being one of the best metal songs of all time. At least top 10!

I wish Halford had kept that long hair for a few more years. Actually, I wish they had all kept this look, it was a lot better than the leather-and-studs image they started in the 80's.
