His voice is truly amazing! You can say that Journey was just an AOR band (very successful though) but you can't deny Perry's voice is great.

This is when Journey went a little soft. Plus Perry had Steve Smith and Ross Valory thrown out of the band. Perry may have had an angelic voice but he was no angel to work with.
