Are you serious? I think Arnel puts more emotion into the songs, and don't get me wrong i really like SP, but i am in love with this band again and that's because Arnel makes it better

Even tho I think Arnel is great, he is nothing compared to Steve Perry. I just don't think he sings with the same emotion as Steve did live, something just feels so wrong.

I can't believe I lived long enough to see a first Asian to break through and perform with a World Class band like Journey. Arnel you are a phenomena. As a 60's rocker myself jamming with Manila's old rockers, your'e the best of the best . How you hit those high notes simply amazes me. You are Journey's lucky find .. thanks to You Tube. Four more words: living in the past Perry and Smith were both great in the band (saw Journey the 1st time on the Raised On Radio tour and hated that Vallory and Smith weren't in the lineup, at the time-THANKS TO PERRY), but they are both a part of the band's past and not present. Arnel is a good fit for Journey and Deen is an incredible drummer, as well as a damn fine vocalist in his own right.
