My best guess is because Sam runs something called "The Great North Sound Society" and from JR's website: it's an 18th century farmhouse-turned-recording studio located in the wonderful state of Maine. It is there that he produced Josh's last album The Historical Conquests of Josh Ritter, along with other albums by artists like Langhorne Slim, Kris Delmhorst, and Erin McKeown.15 years ago
