It is amazing that no matter at what point in my relationship with God that I am in, this song hits me in that place and still gives me the encouragement to keep pushing forward. We all struggle and are pulled back and forth but ultimately we know where our strength and destiny is. I see that thought reflected in this song. Modern day poetry right here.

Jeana TaylorIt is almost 5:30 am. And I have a sinking feeling. After all my studies, searches and questions. I find myself more lost than ever. I have prayed the Bible is true. I do not know where the truth is in it and where the manipulation is. So the question comes to me.........was it all set up to help us or to confuse us? And if it is all just a farce, why is so much of it coming true? I want God to be real. I need God to be real, otherwise, I cannot see any value in this life. Sure, I laugh when things are funny. I cry when things are sad. But surely our lives are more than just emotions. I'll quote Josh Garrel's song "Farther Along" -" I wonder why the good man dies, the bad man thrives, and Jesus cries because he loves them both, we're all castaways in need of ropes.

Wow, I can't believe that just a month ago I heard this amazing song and the artist that I have never heard before. I read your testimony and I feel your heart in all your songs. So very blessed to now know your music. When are you touring near Michigan?

I'm gonna sing this to my crush...Josh Garrels is his favorite singer, and I want to see the smile on his face when he hears me sing this to him. I don't care if he doesn't date me or whatever...all that matters is seeing him happy -^.^- <3

Steve John, the line "the deadweight burden weighs a ton, go down to the river and wash away all the things you've done" doesn't refer to blaming but to the river of Jesus' Blood. It's the modern version of the 18th century hymn: "There is a fountain filled with blood drawn from Emmanuel's veins; and sinners plunged beneath that flood lose all their guilty stains." The only place where you can wash away all things you've done is the Cross of Jesus Christ.
