He really comes up with some classic tracks for Savatage and he's continued with this Band.

LUV! \m/ Jon is a wonderful person, frickin hilarious and is passionate about what he does (his music) He needs to be recognized in the United States more, the fans overseas put us to shame in how much they regards their music! Music is life, without music the world we know would be silent! This song "Firefly" is one of my favorites! I am a huge Savatage fan too, went to high school with Steve "Doc" Walcholz and Criss Oliva went to my high school Tarpon high too but it was after I left. Enjoy!

You got the point. However, he desereves moer recognition. It is said that he had bad luck with his producers. Or that he wasn´t on the correct circles to promote his music. Anyway. He is a genius.

@quetedelavie I agree...Jon Oliva smokes Ozzy in both song writing, and singing. Blackmore/Malmsteen are my favorite guitar players, but also agree that Criss was awesome at what he did. Savatage is one of my favorite bands- I'm not knocking them any, but rather pointing out that I think they deserve more media recognition and respect, like up there at the level of what Ozzy, or AC/DC gets. 'Tage is never played on the radio, but AC/DC is 40X a day.

@odyG7maiden I suppose you're right, as Jon does fill a niche and he owns it! It sucks how so many great bands fall under the radar, when they can out do most anything out there. Much less to find bands like Riot and Viper who have come and gone, and I never even knew they existed until long after the fact. I was still waiting for a 'Tage album, and didn't even know about Jon Oliva's Pain until their third album. I need to turn off the radio and look around more often. Rock on \m/

@Freedomquest08 HAHAH yeah man i agree about DIO.. :))) :P ok look it's impossible for all good musicians to be so..well known but JON OLIVA is not for all the people is for those who has been searching for GOOD music.

I don't understand why this guy isn't as widely known as Ozzy. John Oliva's whole career has been awesome music, and these lousy sorry ass US radio stations won't even play it. I have this CD, and it rocks! This guy knows how to pour his passion and heart into his efforts. The only singer I rank above him is Ronnie James Dio \m/.
