I love the guy's music and voice but his hair has had many forms.

Hey Alan, it was right after he got out of Yes. Maybe he dyed his hair in order to pretend he was an unknow singer trying to make a new fanbase. I believe he didn´t succeed. LOL Cheers.

Temón y pico!. El gran despliegue compositivo de Vangelis y la impresionante interpretación de John Anderson. Aunque Vangelis no estuvo en este show.

Thanks very much for posting this - love all four of the Jon and Vangelis albums - great to see live.

The guitar sounds a bit like Steve Howe's slide all over Parallels, et al! This is good stuff, thank you!

@whiterobin - Ooh, good point. I love Yes, but often after a fabulous passage of music I have to 'close my ears' for an up-and-down-the-scales bit. I think it's testament to Anderson's input that he wrote some brilliant Yes songs (Yessongs?) on guitar which were 'Yessed-up' by the band. His simple acoustic versions of "Owner" and "Roundabout" are great - he's on some US daytime TV show doing them somewhere....

But Yes, particularly with Anderson's input, produced the really important large structures which were pieces of music in and of themselves, even if you took the singing out of it. This piece remains at a constant tempo throughout, which is valid, but it was never what Yes was about.

This is Jon on his solo tour in 1981 (?). At that point, he wasn't working with any of the Yes members. ABWH came out in 1989.

I have never watch this clip with Jon Anderson before , but I think the others must be Bruford, Wakeman and Howe playing together with Jon if I not mistake here :D I bought a cassette/tape for 18 years ago with them :D Some of the songs on that tape is Fist of fire and Brother of mine :DThe picture on that tape is some eagles on it and their nests :D
