This is a great cover! Kudos to the arranger/producer, it was modern with R&B, Jazz, and hip hop infusions so that she could made it her own. Her voice is so lovely, it's depressing that she's not bigger than Rihanna, Katy Perry, or even Taylor Swift. Neither of them hold a candle to her vocals. When your voice has too much 'soul' it almost kills your chances at pop success. See Teena Marie.

JoJo is a great singer and this version is alright, but those that are Anita Fans like myself must admit Anita has a contra alto voice made for jazz and JoJo voice is more pop and a little r&b with her runs, so there is no comparison. Two different type styles. I like this version but to say it is better than the original is just plain ridiculous, because we all know Anita was more soul and jazz and that's two different styles. Just depends on your taste that's all.

Why compare anita and jojo they have totally different voices. Anita has that strong soulful voice and jojo has that new age rnb/pop voice. I could never say jojos version is better because first of all she didn't write it and second anita version is wayyyyyy better.
