This was actually an 'Embassy' release. Embassy records were sold exclusively by Woolworths at about 3 shillings and sixpence each. This was nearly half that of normal record releases by the major record labels such as EMI, Pye and Decca etc whose 45 RPM singles sold for 6/8d.Johnny Worth recorded several songs for Embassy and he, together with many other Embassy recoding artists, went on to achieve fame in their own right; probably the most notable was Elton John!
