This song is from his thirteenthLP call '' Johnny's mood'' released in 1960. Probably one of his best albums he did in his life as a singer. Beautiful songs, beautiful voice, good music, everything it just perfect in that album.

Was that the one with "Get Me to the Church on Time"? Yes, I heard it. I had it once on vinyl. : )

This lp also had two covers, this being the second. The first was a sophisticated line sketch of Mathis, looking pensive. To me, this song is a companion piece to "Let It Rain". And, has anyone else out there heard JMs 1956 debut lp? It was an unusual blend of jazz-pop, not in the romantic vein at all.

Another brilliant work from Johnny Mathis, the Ethereal Voiced One. The lyrics sound like this song may have been written during the 1930's or 1940's during the film noir period. The Sax, the Orchestrations, work only when you can sing with a 20th century voice such as this. Bravo Johnny!

I absolutely agree. And the lush background orchestrations/string arrangements are fantastic. As a matter of fact, listening to these clips on Youtube has promted me to purchase this album from HMV. It's available on a 2on1 cd album; 'Two Classic Albums from Johnny Mathis' Johnny's Mood/Faithfully. Thanks lovermatic.

Another great song from one of the best early released albums that Johnny recorded. Marvelous songs, thanks for the upload.
