Marr lost his superpowers when he split from Morrissey.

it was a simbiotic writing partnership between Morrisey and Marr. those words to the music seem like meant for each other i wouldnt think any other lyrics could have been as good. im still intrigued on how Marr composed without thinking of the words , the only explanation is that Morrisey and Marr are the same person in music

Haha you are a joke Marr. You might be a great guitarist, but you're also a loyal backstabber.

Morrissey was the enigmatic, necessary ingredient that made The Smiths...

Having read his autobiography you'd think Morrissey had contrived The Smiths as just a convenient vehicle by which he could irrationally resent and ridicule Geoff Travis in any way possible. Not to mention the scant little time he had for Marr in this great 'tome'. 30 pages rattling on about the crumbs at the bottom of the family biscuit tin in his oh-so depraved and yet poignant childhood. And of course had any one else undergone the selfsame child it would have failed to be poignant as it wouldn't have been Morrissey who experienced it and been able to project such a studied romanticism onto his surroundings. If Morrissey was his generation's Wilde then why don't we just call Paul Morley Derrida. Morrissey was and remains a turgid bore that only managed to be galvanised from a tortured 6th form self-pitying poet, with a few clumbering melodies rattling round his brain, in to something resembling a songwriter at the hands of Marr. The NME claiming Marr to be a Godlike genius, is like an ill-advised recently converted Muslim drawing a cartoon of Allah. They're the kind of music paper that makes reading the Daily Star seem like an intellectual pursuit.
