i cannot believe people have not heard of this giant of British rock. taken before his time, e died in a god forsaken place called breightmet in between bolton and bury. a place you would not bury your dog. it dose not have a monument. this king of British rock and roll is not recognised it is disgusting

One of the better tunes i must agree, not over keen on 60's music as a whole but you got those exceptionally good tunes hidden in there somewhere.

@Marcosspeedup Yeah, I love that recording - Led Zeppelin doing a pre-concert concert soundcheck and running through several Johnny Kidd songs. It seemed totally impromptu, but everyone in the band knew the songs. Even if you're not a Zep fan (I sure am) it kind of goes to show what an impact Johnny Kidd must have had. Btw, check "Rosetta West - Shakin' All Over" if you can.

it's not really Mersey Sound since The Pirates were from London but I know what you mean, plus they were on the same bill as a lot of those bands. Then Mick Green joined Billy J Kramer and can be heard on some of their best stuff

That's what I call a stunning progress - from rock'n'roll to the Mersey sound bubble gum.
