Great song but it ain't accurate this songs aim was to get US schoolchildren into US history.If anyone cares to look at some other sites with guys re inacting the battle and listening to US historians story's on it NO Brits ran.The mistake the Brits made was not carrying enough ladders to get to the Americans on the high ground the 93rd Highland regiment stood in front of the US cannons waiting for troops coming with the ladders by the time they came nearly all the highlanders lay dead or dying.These guys were the elite veterans of the Napoleonic wars they do not run way this regiment in the Crimean war stopped 4000 Russian cavalry in their tracks.Whoever stopped the Scots would have been proud and a story to tell the grandchildren
