Damn, so many fire related things in his life... The fire at Roy Orbisons' house (which was located near this one) that killed his two sons, then this fire, Luther Perkins died in a fire because of a lit cigar, Johnny is the only american that was charged for starting a forest fire, which almost completely wiped off the population of a rare bird species, and of course, one of his most famous songs, Ring of fire.

Wow to fires at the same house. That s very bad. I hope when some one buys thishouse again nd rebuilds what was there or puts some thing new there tat the structure gets fir sprinklers. that might have saved a lo of the home. Lets learn from the past good and bad and move forward. I am glad no one died this time. May the other RIP. Thank you for the video even if it is sad.

when johnny cash first bought the house off Roy Orbison which also burned down and 2 of Orbison's children were killed in the fire and cash rebuilt it.very sad story considering two great people of the world.i would love to visit old hickory lake.i live in Liverpool close to where the Beatles grew up and would swap a visit to go and see the cash house.

We just spent a week on Old Hickory Lake. Took our boat to the Cash house. It was serene. Quiet. The stones still stand, some structure. I wanted so much to get out of the boat and walk along the shoreline of the house, but it just didn't seem right. Rumors are Tommy Cash, his brother is trying to buy the property back. Rosanne, their daughter has a house next to the remains...

i ussualy dont believe in ghosts or stuff like that but when i saw this the first thing i thougt was hes dead and he wanted his house gone to what i think he letted it burn himself as ghost and i dont wanna have dislikes like crazy but this is what i think Freaking R.I.P Johnny i will never forget you when i watched the movie walk the line i just wanted to know who you are but i cant annymore i love you <3

Thank you for the video but I would like to correct something in your description. This house was not built on the spot where Roy Orbison's burned. Roy's property is next door and is now an orchard. Johnny bought the property and fenced it off and promised Roy the orchard would live on in his family's memory and that no one would ever build on it again. I believe Marty Stewart, who lives on the other side of the orchard, now owns it and purchased it from Johnny.

I find interesting that each time a fire is what brought it down...but I love te comment & promise made to roy orbison..thanks for sharing. I had the good fornuate of seeing Johnny in concert & meeting him & June in person...he wore WHITE that night...vera
