I loved most of Johnny's music. This one while certainly not bad, just lacks his normal " actually living what he's singing " And its strange since he normally does live the music like few artists can. Mandolin is a nice addition, Too bad the fiddle isn't there like in the original John Prine version. Sorry folks.. that's just the way it is.

it is what it is...its not better than Prine....obviously...but for Johnny Cash to pay respect to Mr Prine by playing his tune....that should tell you something....its a tribute and a sign of respect....NOONE!!...and i repeat NOONE,writes better than John Prine,and there was only one Johnny Cash...and we're lucky Prines still alive to hear....even Dylan cant stand in the shower with Prine....you know im right
